The Cathedral Women's Association is open to all women of the parish. This group provides an avenue for women to share in spirituality, service, and community outreach. There are no dues.
Involvement in the Cathedral Parish
On the first Sunday of each month we host Coffee and Rolls after the 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday Masses. We also host special receptions for the parish. The Associations joins forces with the Social Justice Committee for the Giving Tree at Christmas. We also combine with that Committee for other special drives during the year as part of our outreach to the community. There is a Cookie Sale and Boutique in December. Saint Nicholas always drops by to pose for pictures with "children of all ages." A very popular Saint Valentine's Day Tea is held in February. We bake and sell hundreds of fresh Lemon Pies in the spring. We periodically sponsor an evening called "Women, Wisdom and Wine." We have a speaker and a time to spend socially get to know one another. There are also Saturday morning meetings a couple of times during the year.
The Women's Association has donated money to help restore the bells, donated money for the new sound system, had the indoor 20 piece Creche completely restored, helped to pay for new funeral vestments, and funded special requests from the pastor.
Though there are no regular meetings, there is a core team of women who work together to organize the events. If you would like to join the core team, please leave your name and phone number at the Cathedral office at 651.228.1766. You will be contacted. We are always looking for new members to the team! Please join us in working for the parish—it is a great way to feel connected!
